Villa Aquilo nestles amongst olive groves within the beautiful West coast hillside of Alonissos in an area known as Megali Ammos, close to the Southern tip of the island with stunning views out over the Aegean waters towards the neighbouring island of Skopelos.
Alonissos can be found within the only marine conservation park in the Mediterranean, last in a chain of islands known as the Sporades. Alonissos is 20km long and 5km wide, and like neighbouring Skopelos, it is a richly verdant island covered with pine forests and olive groves.
Approximately five kilometres away from the port of Patitiri a small, graded track leads to a coastline covered in pine, olive and cypress trees. Set in a 5315sqm olive grove and with beautiful sunsets and views over the bay of Megali Ammos to the island of Skopelos, Aquilo provides a comfortable and peaceful retreat.
Megali Ammos is the name of a region with wild natural beauty where you will find a many unspoiled beaches and coves containing sand and pebble. Lovers of wildlife can explore the flora and fauna of the area with the marked trails and walks.
